Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language Arts and Literature to middle school students, covering a range of genres, authors, and historical periods.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the standards of the Cambridge International Curriculum, with a strong focus on literary analysis and comprehension.
- Assess and monitor student progress in both writing and literary analysis, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Encourage a deeper understanding of diverse literary texts to promote critical thinking and cultural awareness.
- Participate in and contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing literary appreciation and interdisciplinary learning.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at the middle school level, with a proven track record in both English language and literature education.
- Strong familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum, particularly its literary components.
- Excellent command of both the English language and literary analysis.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with colleagues.
